We may send newsletters that contain information about the website and related services. You may unsubscribe at any time.

From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you by email for market research purposes – not because we are nosey, necessarily, but we want to make the site the best it can be for our Sweat Pledgers.

Rest assured that your details will not be sold or distributed without your prior consent.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. Picture us as a big, burly bouncer standing in front of your data, doing the best we can to try and prevent any unauthorised access or leaks. We have put in place suitable processes to protect and secure the information we collect online.

How we use cookies

Cookies are delicious sugary treats enjoyed by Sweat Pledgers of all ages (although Kajsa prefers scones). A cookie can also be a small file that asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual, adapting to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences. They are very clever like that – we can barely remember what we had for breakfast this morning.

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about webpage traffic and improve our website: giving you more of the stuff you like, and less of the stuff that bores you. The data is removed from the system after we have analysed it.

A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of what the website has to offer.

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites that we think you might be interested in. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, please note that we do not have any control over that other website. This means that we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide while visiting them. These sites are not governed by this privacy statement: you should exercise caution and look at the site’s own privacy statement.

Controlling your personal information

You have the right to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

You will automatically be enrolled in the Sweat Pledge newsletter when you sign up. If you wish to stop receiving this, you may unsubscribe at any time; just click on the link in the newsletter email.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998, and/or that this data is deleted. This will be performed by us manually and completed within seven working days.  You will need to verify your identity.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
