I've never been a fan of exercise, and it really shows now I'm in my 50s. I've tried all sorts of cutting down, but have come to the conclusion that the only way to improve my shape now is to move more, hence sweat pledge.

Looking back, I forgot to add last week’s park run at Sconce Park. But today I did Clumber Park for the first time officially. And wasn’t last! That’s half my pledge done! Go Jo!

Today I did my second session since my Sweat Pledge 5k. Both the same - 20 minutes. Preparation for Saturday’s park run. I’m currently pledged to run 4 Park Runs before Christmas, and the coming Saturday will be the first. I’m trying to increase my speed to beat 53 minutes. Throw me some sweat!

5k is a great goal - seems ideal for us over 50s. You seem to be doing really well - if you don't use Strava, give it a go, it is very good for showing you small improvements in speed if you run the same route regularly and that can be a real confidence booster.
